For those who don't know, quiet time is intentional time you set aside to spend with the Lord. Everyone's quiet time looks different and is specific to their needs and their personal relationship with the Lord!
We thought it would be cool to share with you some of our top 4 quiet time essentials!
Bible — the Word is a MUST! We must understand and read God's word for it is instructions on how to live a life that pleases God.
Worship music — I think it’s safe to say, quiet time doesn’t necessarily have to be QUIET. Sometimes worship music sets the atmosphere and invites the Holy Spirit in. Praise and worship however you see fit, it’s YOUR sacred time with the Lord.
Devotional — We love a good devotional! That extra layer of knowledge really does something to the soul. Devotionals are great assets to your bible study and it allows you to see how you can apply scripture in your everyday life.
Journal/notebook — Writing out your thoughts and prayers can be very therapeutic. It allows you to center your thoughts and allows you to focus on what God is speaking to you in that moment.
The benefits of quiet time are endless!
You can receive so much clarity, understanding, and revelation when you get into the Lord's presence. Speaking to God is so important because we have the opportunity to thank Him and acknowledge Him. Gratitude is also an important part of quiet time. We not only encourage you to spend time with God to pray over the things you want and need, but we highly encourage that you express your gratitude for God's hand in your life. Expressing gratitude means that you acknowledge that you cannot do this life alone and that you need the help of the Holy Spirit to guide you.
Use your quiet time with the Lord to sit in His presence, and allow Him to speak into your life.
